Here’s one more from the nice weather we had last Monday morning.
There is a little falling snow evident in the foreground and the distance is a little obscured by the combination of snow and thin fog. Neither happening this morning as it is a bit overcast with a slight breeze and above freezing. The sun shines later and we hit the 50’s again. The earliest of the ephemerals should be stirring any day now.
Very nice Steve! Great composition and tonality! Well cone.

So much tranquillity but I particularly liked the composition.

Thanks, Lyle. It was so serene with only the occasional sound of a loon to break the silence.

This is one of my favorite photos that you have posted. It could pass as a lovely card and I hope that you print this one.

Thanks, Yvonne. Funny you should mention cards as someone has asked me to submit images to be used on cards picturing New England.

Al right then. I’m glad to know that others think the same as I. After all I think I have discerning taste. 🙂 I hope that you hop to the suggestion.

I came across the phrase “decorator snow” this week: that is, snow that’s pretty, without being an aggravation. It seems to me that’s what you have here. It’s exceptionally pretty, but it’s clearly fragile. A little sun, a little wind, and — it’s gone. Lucky us, to have your photo to enjoy when the snow has given way to flowers.

Your description fit this snow to a ‘T’, Linda. Pretty enough in the early hours and gone by noon. I love the “moment captured in time” aspect of photography.

I should credit that little bit of wit to Imogen Cunningham. ““Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow.”“Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow.” 🙂
