I took yesterday off from blogging. I’ll try to catch up on all your comments and the posts I’ve yet to respond to.
So much to do here and I just got another house task. We are getting a new roof later this summer, which we just contracted for, and part of that job is to replace our basement windows. I now have to wire brush and sand the frames and paint them before the new windows are installed. All the usual stuff…firewood, trimming, mowing, etc…still remain. This new computer has a card reader that isn’t functioning properly, so the manufacturer…Puget Systems…sent me a new unit which needs to be installed. While I have the case opened I will clean the dust from the fans etc, but I am not excited about going in. I also have to put together the 8-10 framed prints for the bank in August and have a job photographing a farm for some folks.
I did get out for a few minutes this morning and yesterday. Here’s today’s shot and yesterday’s will be tomorrow’s. 🙂

It’s a bit of a compromise, Mark. I don’t get things done quickly, but it all gets done by the time it needs to be.
I was getting a bank check for our firewood delivery (we buy some and I cut and split some) when I saw some prints on the wall. The manager said why don’t you hang some in August? Right place and the right time. Thanks. I seem to like some today. 🙂

Always plenty to do, isn’t there? We have craziness descending upon us this week, and it may not lift for a while. Blogging is a luxury that usually works into our lives well, but who knows how it will be for the next few weeks?

Sounds crazily mysterious…or is that mysteriously crazy? 🙂 Blogging is fun for sure, but one needs the time to do it. I hope you have a little bit over the next few weeks.
Home ownership is a demanding taskmaster, but it’s well worth it. That said, some day I will probably be happy to let someone else do the heavy lifting.

Don’t worry about us when you have other demands on your time. We are patient followers. If you don’t get to post daily, it is ok. We won’t be sad for long.

I enjoy responding too much to let it go, Jim. I just pace myself although this evening I am doing a marathon reply session. I’m almost caught up. I am sure I’ll be in the same place in a few days. 🙂

I don’t remember ever seeing the sun’s rays appearing exactly like they do in this photo. They’re — well, geometric isn’t quite the right word. Angular might do. They almost look like windmill blades. Did you use a certain kind of filter to get the effect? It’s really quite striking, and attractive.
Not only that, I followed your link to Puget Systems and found their video on how to clean the innards of a computer. I happened to have a can of compressed air and a screwdriver, so now I’m all neat and tidy, and I swear my CPU is running more quietly. All good!

Actually, if I we to really push the processing here beyond reasonable, there are definite geometric shapes at the base of each ray. No filter used for this one…just f/22 to give the rays a little definition.
I am glad that the link helped you clean your CPU, Linda. Unfortunately, when I opened mine there was a cable in the way of removing the card reader and it also looked as if the bracket would hit the circuit board the cable was plugged in to. I’ve emailed the tech at Puget to see what I should do next.

Beautiful Steve. I understand your problems or some of them. 🙂 I’m so busy with sick pets and other chores that I feel as if I’m a beaver building a dam. And I have to shell out 10k for new roof very soon. The ceiling is leaking and now that will have to be fixed. I’m in a pickle for sure and I feel your pain.

It’s so hot there in the summer…I don’t know how you are able to get things done, although hot to me is probably not so hot to you.

Steve hot is hot no matter where you are. I have to start very early in the am and then go back out doors as the sun is going down. But for errands in the middle of the day I dash in and out of stores or where ever and then back into the ac of my truck. I just have lots of work with the pets which is inside and the pets are the bulk of my work.
I’m behind on my blog and making comments and so will need to put some of that on hold. Not enough time to do proper comments.

The heat really affects Mary Beth strongly too, Yvonne. She does her gardening by the same schedule as you and spends the middle of the day indoors for the most part. The warehouse where I work most of the time is hot and when the humidity is high the concrete floor gets very wet.
I don’t know how you manage. Murphy was enough for us.
