Very cool! The pebbly effect makes it look like a very attractive mineral of some kind.

That effect reminded me of the beading on paper penny candy we bought as kids. Those little droplets add a lot of color when the light hits them right. Thanks, Robert!

I LOVE the simplicity of this image. The veins of yellow really stand out.

Thanks, Lori! The moisture certainly helped with the color and doing a close up made it simpler.

You DO dew this very well! :). The leaf has been studying Seurat, I believe.

It looks like one of those five-dollar sugar cookies from a boutique bakery: artistic frosting, and crystal sprinkles.

And given time I am sure someone might take a few nibbles of this cookie. If I were a baker I just might make some of these.

Thanks, Eliza. I didn’t realize it, but I found that I did something almost identical last year. Guess this sort of image appeals to me and I am glad that it does to you.

I can’t imagine most folks remember a post from year to year. Besides your subjects are always interesting. 🙂

This is another example of those beautifully simple compositions you do so well that I think I might have overlooked. I’m hopeful that seeing these not only gives me pleasure but slowly helps develop my eye to better notice these sorts of scenes.

Thanks, Todd. I’m just a simple guy trying to make simple photographs. 🙂 There’s a lot to see the closer we look. If one of my posts does help you see things in a similar manner then I am glad it does. I get a lot out of looking at the work of others.
