Here is an image from Acadia National Park from this past week. I enjoyed spending time there with photographer friends Everett Davis, Gustav W. Verderber, and Mark Picard along with meeting Alan Nyiri and Ed Vatza.
I am usually very early for appointments, but I just barely got us here on time. It was a frenzied few moments as we looked for compositions and got set up. I would have liked a bit more of a foreground focal point, but time was a wastin’. I hope you like it.
Please click the image for a bit larger view. Thanks.
Are you kidding me? The foreground is genius as is because the long lines and rectangular shapes compliment the ocean surface and sky. Nice sunrise.

Hi David. Thanks…it was literally within a minute of seeing what was happening that we had to be set up. So only a moment to just pick a spot and go. I’m not as quick as I used to be so Gustav got the better of the light, but I am happy with my results too.

Beautiful image, Steve! I do really like this one, and as David pointed out, you really do have a nice composition.
Sounds like you guys had quite a party up there in Acadia…looking forward to more images!

Nice one Steve. I certainly know the feeling about having enough time to scout around a bit when the light is changing so fast.
