I promise that I won’t post memes profusely. But after Linda mentioned a tune staying in her head all day, I just have to do it again. I’ll go stand in the corner now. 🙂
The caption with this was about learning science through music.
We’ll resume regular programming later on. 🙂

I applaud the cleverness of whoever came up with those lyrics.

It looks as if a few someones contributed but in response to the originator. Usually these things have someone’s name attached.

In 1953, when the song was issued, I was seven years old. I didn’t have pigtails, but I loved the song, and I loved learning a “foreign” word. The puns are just as good.

Actually I did not think you had pigtails and I imagine if you did I would have seen that in one of the posts that you share with a picture of young Linda. But it’s just something little boys did to little girls so I went with that since I was teasing you just a little with ear worms. They are great puns and I’m glad you enjoyed them.

You may come out of the corner just as soon as Dean Martin leaves my head.

It’s been a few days now. Am I excused?

You may come out of the corner. But behave.

Yes, please do. 😉 But maybe “That’s a Moray” will replace the ear worm I’ve been plagued by the last few days: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCwkZrj2VT4 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYLSvXYp_5U.

🙂 I think, no I am sure, that I prefer Linda over Dean. Matter of fact I prefer her over most singers. I saw the Newport performances where Joni sang a bit and wouldn’t it be wonderful if Linda could again? I don’t think that’s possible but we sure do miss her.

Yes, we sure do miss Linda. I saw her in Ann Arbor many years ago and was blown away. Her voice was so natural—but extraordinary. So glad I can call up her songs on my phone and computer.

She and her band at the time played the Springfield Civic Center decades ago. It was a great show and hearing her in person was so much better than a recording.
