12.31.2020 Pleased to meet ya!

Another leaf from the Monday shoot.

Looks like it’s bowing in greeting.

For me it’s only 20 minutes till 2021 kicks off so seems like your leaf is bowing out along with the old year. Happy New Year! That leaf detail is really gorgeous, and beautifully lit.

  4. How obliging of the leaves to have folded themselves over so flat that you didn’t have to worry about depth-of-field problems.

Who knew leaves could have such fine manners!! I find it interesting how flat this leaf is pressed to the flattened decomposing leaves below it. Earth has many layers to it… all holding a beauty that lies beneath.

It looks like the beginning of an origami project. The colors and details of the layers are lovely. Happy New Year to you and Mary Beth! (And Bentley, of course!)

    • It took a while to find some pleasing combinations. Most everything was brownish and just lying there.
Thanks, Linda! May 2021 be filled with wonderful Texas photo opportunities for you.

  10. What a wonderful image! It looks to me like a painting illustrating a page in a childrenโ€™s storybook about the forest.
