For me it has an Oriental feel. I don’t know if that was the intention, or even if other people see it that way.

It was designed with Japanese gardens as an influence.

Ah, then I wasn’t imagining it.

Peace. But that was the point, wasn’t it?

It usually is…unless it isn’t, but mostly it is. Thanks!

So tranquil…

It was nice to capture when there were no visitors. It is usually quite busy.

Lovely, Steve. And just the tranquil, lush green scene I need to quiet my spirit as I look out at orange skies dark as dusk here in the Bay Area of California. Thank you. There is normalcy somewhere in the world.

I am glad it brought you some peace, Hannah. I cannot imagine what it must be like to see so much devastation. I fear that it will not be the last time for a long time. And, eventually we’ll get our share of problematic weather of some different sort.

Where is this beautiful place? I clicked the link, but didn’t find any information, and when I clicked a second page, I still couldn’t find the location.

Ah. I found it. There’s a lot to explore there, and all of it beautiful.

Ha! I responded while you were searching. Sorry you had to do that. Mount Desert Island is a wonderful area. Besides the national park, many communities have a lot to offer. Lots of craftspeople and artisans, scenery, good food, and a very relaxing atmosphere. In the future one of the not so main attractions will be our ashes blowing around on Cadillac Mountain.

It is related to Acadia N.P. in Northeast Harbor. If I don’t mention a location in my post it is usually, almost usually anyway, in my tags. It’s funny that they don’t mention the location in their text. We try to visit here every time we go to Acadia. It is always beautiful but I think at its best in the rain in June.

Ah. I rarely read tags.

This looks like such a beautiful location. As much as I enjoy finding and seeing natural locations I also really enjoy these types of gardens. This reminds me there are still some of these around here I’ve yet to visit.

Natural locations are absolutely my go to, but i also appreciate a nice garden, whether someone’s yard or something more public. I hope you do visit some of your locals and share them with us.

The Japanese influence is clear and very nicely achieved. The rainy day really helps to emphasize the soft glow of this lovely miniature landscape.

They do a very nice job of maintaining the garden. We visit it every year we go to Maine…not this year though, sadly.
