It may sound like the start of a series but it really isn’t. This is a source of pride however and my second for this magazine, Northern Woodlands. If you are interested, here is the first.
Of course, even sweeter is the subject of the image. 🙂

Thanks, Steve. They also used one of my Dutchman’s Breeches inside in the article about restoring wildflowers.

What a fine image, and perfect for the cover. The text slips into the space filled by the trees quite nicely, leaving the flowers plenty of room to shine. Having a photo on a cover would be great enough, but having a favorite feature makes it even more special. Congratulations!

We discussed a few images and I offered a couple of others. The first one she asked about didn’t quite have enough head room and adding canvas was problematic. This one fit and I was glad that I had stopped the day I made this image. I almost walked right by it. Thank you.

That would be nice. It’s a great magazine and I love our woods so being included is a feather in my toque.

Your modesty is unnecessary. It’s exciting to see your work on the cover of a magazine, and they didn’t ruin the image either. With your expertise, you should be on loads of covers! Congrats!

Thanks, Lynn. It never gets old…not that there have been that many but a few. I get “chuffed” each time. If only I would actually submit to publications it might happen. 🙂

But you don’t choose to spend large amounts of your time working on that, which I understand very well. 🙂

I don’t, it’s true. But I do like seeing my work in print and it’s rare that happens by itself.
