This should do it for January 24th. There’s others but I am not thinking they’ll offer much. Somethings seem like a good idea at the time but don’t hold up in processing. Missed focus, blown out highlights, etc.
There’ll be more cold weather for sure, but right now it’s been raining off and on for the last two days. Cold again tonight so we’ll see.
Now to try to catch up with all of your posts and comments. 🙂
Intriguing. Reminds me of petroglyphs.

There’s nothing glyphy about me.

It’s not even iffy: I’d take “glyphy” in a jiffy.

Of course I like the picture. I’m also intrigued by the way the S of your signature ended up in an ice circle.

I usually try to avoid important elements of a photography with my signature but often it’s impossible. This was about as faded as i could make it and have it still visible.

This is wonderful. My first thought as I scrolled down was, Ice snake!

Thanks, Melissa. Now that you mention an ice snake there just might be one more image to process. LOL

I thought fossilized sea creatures. Ice Snakes aren’t real, right?? 🙂

Snakes are cold-blooded so just maybe there are. I am sure in markets where snakes are sold as delicacies there are snakes on ice and, of course, there are snakes on planes. 🙂
Fossils work too.

Cold-blooded would fit right in with this sinuous shape. But far-fetched frozen fossils?

Right away, I saw snail trails, especially in the longer, more random winding through the ice. Then, I started feeling sorry for the snails that left the circles. I have days like that: going around and around and not getting anywhere.

Don’t we all? Many’s the time I look back on the day and ask just what did I do today? A basic human condition for the majority of us, I think. Some days we just spin our wheels.
I can see snail trails too. But the one thing I see different from everyone else would be leaf miners.I’ll share a shot of one tomorrow.

Thanks, Lynn. Finding these has been a real enjoyable time this winter. Hopefully there’ll be more before it’s over.

There probably will be, but if not, there will be something else.
