Dark Fishing Spider-Dolomedes tenebrosus Who sees my little friend?  Look closely if you dare.  🙂 Most often I find these in the wood pile but it was chilly last night so this one must have sought warmer shelter.

Gymnoclytia sp.  A Tachinid fly.  These parasitic flies lay their eggs most often on the larvae of another insect, very often caterpillars, which dooms the host.  The adults feed on nectar.
