As always, I cannot be sure how often Frog Friday will appear here depending on sightings. But I did see a couple on the 21st prior to the heron experience. Currently the water levels are high and that might bode well for the Lithobatesian population.
Looks happy enough. The heron capture was across the pond a bit so this guy did not become heron fodder, at least not on the 21st. 🐸 🐸 🐸
That’s a great capture, Stephen.

Happy Frog Friday! That little chap certainly looks like he has something to grin about! 🙂

We anthropomorphize that big curve of a mouth as a grin. I wonder if it’s possible for an animal like a frog to express the emotion that people do when we grin.

Why does it look like it has two faces?

The lavender-and-green combination of his face is so attractive. I like the almost-neon green of some surrounding grasses, too; the brightness is an appealing contrast.

Thanks, Linda! The light was lovely and interesting combined with the frogs own decor.

Frog Friday is welcome any day of the week!
It’s great to see a healthy bullfrog.
Looks like he could be a good friend of mine.
Joy to you and me.

Maybe I’ll try a frog Monday sometime.
He sure did have some very fine wine.
