05.26.2023 The return of Frog Friday

As always, I cannot be sure how often Frog Friday will appear here depending on sightings.  But I did see a couple on the 21st prior to the heron experience. Currently the water levels are high and that might bode well for the Lithobatesian population.

Looks happy enough.  The heron capture was across the pond a bit so this guy did not become heron fodder, at least not on the 21st. 🐸 🐸 🐸

  3. We anthropomorphize that big curve of a mouth as a grin. I wonder if it’s possible for an animal like a frog to express the emotion that people do when we grin.

The lavender-and-green combination of his face is so attractive. I like the almost-neon green of some surrounding grasses, too; the brightness is an appealing contrast.

Frog Friday is welcome any day of the week!

It’s great to see a healthy bullfrog.
Looks like he could be a good friend of mine.
    Joy to you and me.
