That’s a great title. I see more than soft water and a rock, though. Do you see the frog? With that veil of water, I couldn’t help thinking, “It’s the bride of Frogenstein.”

Ha! Yes, I do see her hiding behind the veil. Thanks!

That’s an excellent title. I like the way the flowing water surrounds the rock.

Thanks! I made images of the larger scene but thought the rock and water deserved a frame of their own.

You may have changed an iconic phrase forever.
Too much coffee has me imagining your image as a super close-up of some milkweed type pod with a large seed nestled within.
Or the burrito I had last night.
I’ll look again to see if I can imagine soft water and hard stone.

Next autumn I’ll see if I can bring your burrito driven vision to life. It’d be nice to see the two phrases skipping happily together in a paragraph sometime.

What a beautiful detail captured at the waterfall!

Thanks, Peter! Soft water smoothing and wearing away the hard rock over the years.

I like the coppery colours in the rock and the way its heavy solidity contrasts with the softness of the flowing water.

Thanks, Ann! I love the combination of the two and am very happy when I can find a cascade with that to offer.

I just love your photos! You’re really great at the combination of movement and still, which makes a compelling vignette. Great title, too!

And I love your comments, Tina. ❤ Thank you. I've been photographing water for quite a few years. It's a fascinating subject and offers so much to learn and communicate. Glad the title worked as well as the picture. 🙂
