The word that comes to mind for all those curves is “graceful.”

Looks like wave action over a sand beach. Beautiful.

Truly a nature’s masterpiece of abstraction that you were so fortunate to capture, Steve!

Soothing image.
My first impression was of a record player stylus following warped grooves of a vinyl record. What interesting music that would make.

Thanks, Wally. I am really enjoying how so many are seeing a variety of “other” in the ice abstracts.

It reminds me of drawing a knife through batter to create a ‘marbled’ effect in cake or brownies.

I should be keeping track of everything being seen in the images. I always wondered how the marbled effect was created but never saw anyone do it.

Easy. Make the basic batter, and put it in a pan. Then add dollops of whatever (cream cheese in brownies, for example) and draw a knife through it to create the marbling. Fun.

I’ll give it a shot…probably with cream cheese in brownie mix. I used to make brownies from scratch so maybe I’ll break out the double boiler.

Here’s a site that has a pretty standard recipe for the cream cheese mixture.

I’ll give it a try one of these days. I’ve made brownies in the past that came with a cheese packet but never did the knife thing…until they were out of the oven and I couldn’t wait.

When I first saw this it reminded me of the lines on leaves, with that thicker white portion up top being the stem.

Thanks for adding yet another cool interpretation, Todd. Leaf veins it is. 🙂
