Does foam freeze before any other kind of watery thing?

I don’t know for sure. But airborne foam like this certainly would freeze before the stuff that’s in motion on the top of the water.

Except where the frozen bubbles are, the ice is as translucent and transparent as glass, with the bottom of the pond clearly visible. I like the 3D effect very much.

It’s always fun looking through frozen bubbles when they are not filled with tiny air bubbles. Like magnifying glasses sometimes and at other times they act a bit like prisms holding a rainbow inside.

Intriguing! I like the contrast in colour that the gold leaf gives.

I was glad to have the oak leaf there. It would have been an okay shot but the added color I thought was a plus. Thanks, Ann!

Why do I always food associate? I see two frothy drinks, complete with straws, and a nice, golden cookie at the side. (They could wipe up those spills, though.)

There are much worse associations than food. I’m glad you do the more enjoyable kind. And I definitely like your vision here. Mmmm…time for my morning snack.

Thanks, Reed. Processing helped with that.

When I see your phantastic phrozen photographs, I am somewhat happy to live in a land which seldom freezes, else I’d be donning layers and stuff to get out and attempt something similar.
Superb effects with this image!
Apparently, I am on a similar psychic wavelength with Shoreacres. (Also, I am an admitted copycat.) My first impression was of marshmallows on a stick ready to toast over a campfire. Okay, now I’m hungry AND cold!

I do don layers but not as many as Mary Beth thinks I need. If I followed her advice…https://sggphoto.files.wordpress.com/2023/01/illustration-kid-bundled-600w-121053352.webp
Fid is a powerful suggestion, isn’t it? Thanks, Wally!

Thanks. How the disks formed is a bit of a mystery.
