12.23.2022 Fog Friday-Owens Pond

I’m on vacation until 1/3 and glad because I’m pooped.  I may not have the same problems as Lili von Shtupp but I’m tired.

  4. Great range of tones in this B&W. It feels like a darkroom print … maybe because there appears to be a little grain near the center. I like it!

This is lovely. It’s also oddly similar to what my critter’s water bowl looked like when I thawed out the ice and added some hot water. Instant steam, but without the pretty landscape.

Your moody image made me feel, well, moody. Good moody. (Too bad “goody moody” doesn’t rhyme or I would have used that.)

Even in cold weather, a morning spent looking out over water with the trees cloaked in fog and the sky beginning to peek through fills me with such an amazing feeling of well-being.

Vacation. Doing nothing but what you would like to do. Do it well.

  14. Maybe “Goudy” ( like the cheese) would have worked.

Foggy weather makes most anywhere one of my happy places. Even just standing out in the backyard early early in the morning waiting for Bentley to do his business is more enjoyable in the fog.

Nothing is pretty much what I did, Wally. Very little photography and just what chores were necessary. Bentley and I spent a lot of quality time napping together and going for walks. Some painting got done too but R&R was the theme for the week.
