The spray at the front is dancing! 🙂

It took more than couple of tries to get the dance just right. Thanks, Ann!

I like the little “fountain” near the center.

As much as I liked the whole cascade, that fountain splashing was the goal and took several attempts before I was satisfied I had captured it.

Interesting combination of tannin-tinted water and white-looking spray

I’ve captured a lot of images with tinted water but this is the first with such strong delineation. It’s unique at least among all my other cascade shots.

The delicate fountain of spray near the bottom claimed my attention. It’s a lovely contrast to the more substantial flow.

Whenever possible I try to catch some sort of splash and this is one of the more successful ones, I think. Thanks, Linda!

I remember that song, “Splish Splash I Was Takin’ a Bath”. Very cool photo, love the textures throughout.

Thanks, Sam. I was hoping that I would not be the only one remembering Bobby Darin’s song.
I often try for a few different textures in these shots. Thanks!

Thanks, Donna. It took several exposures and some digital convincing for the dance to reveal itself. 🙂

I can hear the tumbling water and feel the spray.
Marvelous photograph.

Thank you, Wally! I am glad the image portrays the experience. A zoom lens kept me nice and dry.

I did indeed, Lynn. It doesn’t often happen that one can just walk up to a cascade or waterfall and get the perfectly pleasing shot in one take. The variations in light and flow requires a lot of experimentation. And then there is that “taste” thing. 🙂

You’ve had years of practice and I bet those variations – your moving target – provides a challenge that you really like.

Well, easy can be fun too. 🙂 But I do like the variability of capturing water’s motion. Thankfully pixels don’t cost as much as emulsion. 😀
