10.18.2022 Another foggy day

And I ain’t complaining.  Likely never will. I just had a four-day weekend and every day was fog laden.  I wasn’t able to take advantage on Friday but the next three were lovely with yesterday’s fog followed by off and on rain.

I considered Quabbin Park yesterday but changed my mind and turned back for the former Hickory Ridge golf course.  I really haven’t spent as much time there as I might so did my propers.

Small white American-aster-Symphyotrichum racemosum.  I am not sure which hole this once was but I think it is much improved.

Fabulous aster! So Hickory Ridge is no longer a course? Not my circle, heh.

    • It closed up a few years ago and then someone else tried a go at it but that failed as well. Fortunately the town has purchased it and it will serve a few purposes but, as you might imagine, what you see is my favorite of the choices. There will also be some affordable housing and a solar farm.

    • Thanks! Yes we have, Denise. This is the time of year when we have somewhat warm days…60-70 degrees…followed by cool or cold nights which draws the warmish moisture up from the ground around dawn.

Interesting idea turning a golf course into a nature photography course. 🙂 Regarding the fog, this morning I was driving over to my folks house to pick up my father so we could go for a hike and on the way I noticed how amazing the f0g looked with the not yet risen sun beginning to show its warmth and backlighting the fog. Would have made some nice photos if I’d already been set up out on the boardwalk in the marsh.
