We are starting to get a few nights in the 30’s although not a frost in the immediate future. But that might be chilly enough to trigger hibernation. This past Monday I visited one of the more reliable locations for bullfrogs and found just this one female. Probably a few more surfaced as the day warmed but at some point they’ll retire until spring.

I’ll go out on a pad and predict this won’t be your last for the season.

Pad your way over to that pad. I’m still going to look but am doubtful of great successes.

I’ve been waiting for Frog Friday to post this. Recognize anyone?

Well, yeah. Of course I never had blonde hair nor was it ever spiky, but that’s me all over. Between years 9 and 12 I lived in a house that had what some might have considered a plague of frogs and toads.

I always enjoy your frogs! I hope there’s another week or two, but I guess they need to snuggle in for the cold to come.

We’ll still have a few warm days and if I am lucky I’ll be in the right place at the right time. Glad you’ve been enjoying the frogs, Tina!

Who can blame them, with all the election advertising going on? 😉

So much drama in the world now. Going to sleep for a few months sounds appealing. Of course, lately sleeping for more than four hours sounds appealing.

Nice balance in this shot, Steve. The leaf is as interesting as the frog. Fall is upon us!

Thanks for commenting on the leaf, Eliza. Although I had nothing to do with it being there and this was the only frog I was very happy with its curl and color.

Hope your frogs find somewhere comfy for the winter – our little common frogs are still on the go here.

I hope they do also. It’s a long winter.

They are lovely…at least most are. I am hoping for another or more as well, Donna. Thanks!

What a lovely, lovely photo, Steve. There’s something about the curled leaf around her that I find especially endearing. I’ll miss the frog photos this winter….

Thank you, Jet. I was pleased to have something other than a flat pad to add a little extra to the image. I’ll miss the frogs too but maybe there will still be a few before the cold really sets in.

I don’t think I managed to photograph very many frogs this year, but this gives me something to look forward to next season.

I hope you find plenty next year, Todd. I am hoping for some of the land frogs like the wood which I did not see this year.
