  1. I imagine the colors were naturally subdued due to the mist but you have toned them down all the way to black and white.

    • Sometimes when the color is muted or non-existent I do convert to black and white to place the emphasis solidly on shape. There was dull color in the trees and the immediate foreground was yellowing dead grass. Monochrome seemed more attractive.
