    One of the books I use for butterfly identification puts Whites and Sulphurs into the same chapter. I thumbed through it, and was interested to see some photos of species like the Great Southern White that have this same distinctly yellow tinge.

    That’s the way some Cabbage Whites look! I haven’t seen any New England aster blooming yet, but it’s pretty dry here. Great combination.

    Very nice photograph of an uncommonly pretty common butterfly!
    Now, if I can just get a shot of them with open wings, I’ll be a happy camper.
