The restaurant images are all at the framer’s shop. I’m now continuing to pull together images for a show this Autumn. The emphasis will be on Mount Pollux but with a few other Amherst locales in the mix.

As are we all, especially in southern locales.

Thanks, Alessandra. We are fortunate here that fires are not as great a threat as they are in California. I hope none threaten your neighborhood.

Beautiful – I love the richness in the colours of both sky and land. Cooler days will be welcome!

Greens are great, especially after along winter, but I enjoy autumn the most with the variety of color and texture. Thanks, Ann. Cooler will be very welcome, especially for you folks in Europe. I understand that your roads are melting.

I read that some roads did start to melt but didn’t see because we stayed inside. However, I reckoned that I could just hear cars on the main road making the sort of sound that they make going through water – so perhaps that one had melted a bit.

I read that at one airport, not sure if it was Heathrow or not, the tarmac got so soft that flights had to be cancelled as the tires wouldn’t roll through the sticky stuff.

This sky is lovely, but I especially like the juxtaposition of the green grass and the coppery stems at the bottom of the frame. It certainly suggests that moment in time when seasons coexist.

Not that it matters all that much but the green grass is the result of the area being mowed so there is fresh growth. But it does provide a nice contrast in both color and texture. This is a scene I love to revisit at various times of the year…but you might have already guessed that.

We’ve been lucky with the cooler weather so far this year, but now it ends. 90s/100s for the next week.
How many images in your show?

We still have 90’s to come with a few 80’s mixed in.
The restaurant gallery has 8 framed prints and a canvas pano. The autumn show will have around a dozen prints and will take place in two venues, one following the other.

That’s good news, Steve. And it sounds like it won’t be too much of a rush to pull it together. The colors are so pretty in this photograph! I hope the heat didn’t get you too crazy.

The worst part of the heat was having Covid at the same time. I probably would have been knocked out anyway but the heat just made it worse.
Much of what I am hanging at the restaurant will be duplicated for the autumn show. Just a coincidence that the intended theme is similar and fortunately they don’t demand exclusivity. Thanks, Lynn!

I didn’t realize that! I’m sure you’ve been vaccinated as many times as possible and it’s frustrating that you still got it. We’ve managed to avoid it but we are more and more in the minority. At least this version isn’t as bad as some. And being sick is over and done with for you!

Yes, we had all our shots and likely that’s why we didn’t have more severe symptoms. Mary Beth got over it in about two days. I’m still having a few linger effects but mostly recovered. Hope you stay Covidless.
