Atherton Brook, like Dean Brook, draws me back repeatedly for an almost endless collection of cascades. While some are more spectacular than others, especially the waterfall I linked to in the previous post, all have something interesting to share.
I’ll likely post tomorrow but if not, Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate and recognize the gifts life offers to our experience.
I’m very happy to be among those who do.

It can be Thanksgiving anywhere as long as one gives thanks.

Thanks, Bob. I wish the days of my life could be spent by more waterfalls.

I wish just one day of my life could be spent by any waterfall!

You’ve an open invitation. Conversely, I’d love to have one day spent amongst all those wonderful Texas wildflowers you and Steve share. That other side of the fence thing.

Ah, the long exposure marvellously brought about the flow of water, Steve.

Thanks, Peter. Almost all the water shots I make are long or longish exposures due to being in the woods.

I’ve said it before, but I still keep thinking Dean Brook is the name of a person.

No one that I know of but there is Dean Wormer. I don’t know how the brook got its name but possibly someone had a mill on the water and his name was Dean.

I thought of you on Saturday when I was working a river to find similar cascade details. Ice was forming on some of the rocks … we’ll see when I process!

I’ll be looking forward to see what you captured. I made a couple of images with ice and cascades yesterday but so far haven’t hit the right processing to make something shareworthy. We’ll see on my end also. ๐
