11.19.2021 Fog Friday-Same Neighborhood, Different Tree

One more in the continuing study of Owens Pond tree reflections.

Not as gloomy today, at least so far, although I missed the peak of the eclipse.  But witnessing a partial was worth the early rise.  Now, do I get back in bed with Bentley or go out for moonset?

  2. Go back to bed. I love foggy mornings! Great that you found energy to go out. Beautiful location, and photos of it.

    • I did but just for another hour, Alessandra. It was worth losing a few winks. This is a very nice pond and is part of a larger conservation tract. Sometimes I don’t have the energy but do it anyway. Thanks! Can’t waste a good fog. 🙂

I’m curious – did you decide to include ads in your blog? I don’t remember finding Sperry boat shoes and such in your sidebar in the past. Maybe it’s the flashing ad that caught my attention, but it certainly drew my attention away from your photo (which I like).

    • That’s the internet for you. Have you looked for boat shoes recently? I’ve been looking at Merrell boots and sure enough, there is now a sidebar ad for them when I looked at my blog. Insidious advertising. Same for a lot of web pages we visit. Ads for your most recent searches show up. I think the only way for me to avoid that is to pay WP for my blog.
Glad you like the image despite the distraction.

For the ads … I never used to see them when logged into my account on my own site … but they have done something so I do now. They want you to pay for add free, just like Youtube and other companies … but I guess this is how they can keep them free … but still annoying, especially when targeted via cookie monsters.

    • Thanks, Pete. Yes, I noticed that the ads are a little more aggressive in their placement. We can complain but only a little since we resist paying for the service. If I thought subscribing for a fee would increase traffic or lead to some income I’d spring for it. But so far I don’t see that happening.

Is this the other side of the tree from 11/15, or a different tree altogether? I can’t quite tell. Either way, I like what you’re created. And regarding the eclipse, I didn’t even realize there was one until it was past, so good on you for knowing and getting out there for it. 🙂

    • Different tree but along the edge of the same pond. I knew it was coming but there was a fair amount of news coverage here as well. All our weather forecasters were pretty excited about it.
