I’ve only photographed hosta twice. Both times the back of the leaves drew my attention. This one during the summer backlit to show the structure and now with the beauty of aging dressed in frosty finery.
Not exactly in another conservation area, just my backyard. Eventually I went to Hickory Ridge which you saw earlier this week.
So we both showed an abstract view of an aging leaf this morning.

I like the pleated effect, especially combined with that curve.

Again, I had several to choose from but the sinuous curve got me.

Gorgeous, Steve, and I guessed it was a Hosta before I read the text. You’ve only photographed them twice? Seriously? Come on!!! 😉

Just outside the door too. We have a few varieties so I guess I’ll have to fix that next year. 🙂

I love the gentle curves of the frosted veins. The leaf looks as if it has been quilted. (But rather a chilly quilt!)

I actually have left a blanket out while wet so a frosted blanket is something I have seen. 🙂 The curves were what drew my attention followed by the colors. Thanks, Ann!
