    The enlarged view reveals gills that weren’t obvious in the initial view.

    Stands out nicely against the leaves. There are so many different shapes, textures and colors in the fungal world. Endless opportunity for photography.

    Cool! I was going to say that the gills don’t look white enough for a Russula sp. but who knows. Fungi are fabulous but their identification is so confusing!
