Now we’re really getting to see your fall foliage. Interesting how the dark area is surrounded by color on three sides.

The combination of dark and light works real well in this photo. I think it adds a slight moodiness, but with a positive twist as the light continues pushing aside the darkness, revealing the bright colors.

Sidelight is my favorite light most of the time out in the landscape. It adds so much texture and, in this case, beauty to the image. It certainly was a gift on this morning.

Thanks, Reed. The light filtering through the trees at the edge of the pond created some magic. I was quite happy to be there at that particular moment.
