09.23.2021 Sometimes the ride is home from work

A quickie post of an enjoyable cloud from Moody Bridge Road after buying socks.

I have a couple for the morning before leaving for Acadia N.P. We’ll see what I manage to post from there.

The first one’s pretty dramatic, almost enough to ‘knock your socks off’ 😀

That second shot could be the midwest corn country. Have a great trip with no car trouble! 🙂

  4. I like the abstraction of that second view.

    • The first shot was my visualization as I drove there. The second was me looking for other ways of seeing the scene. I wish that I had the big camera for it but the phone did a good job.

      • Eve has sometimes suggested that I should always have my real camera in the car, even when I’m not specifically going out photographing, just in case. Sometimes I do that, but more often I figure, like you, that if I find something while out on an errand I can fall back on my phone (and hope I don’t crack the glass when I fall back on it).

      • Yes, good advice but I am not comfortable leaving the equipment in my car while working in client homes or on commercial installations in the cities.

  5. Beautiful Landscapes & Clouds Steve! But I do not see the socks! When I use my iPhone files, I open my jpegs in Adobe Camera Raw to get more out of the files and it also does a nice job of uprezzing them for larger prints as long as you do not go crazy large. The iPhone Raw files did not seem to be any better than just using the standard jpegs from the iPhone.

That second photo left me feeling homesick for the midwest. Texas cotton and rice are fine, and the corn down here does all right, but they can’t compete with Iowa corn. Corn and clouds are a perfect combination.
