09.17.2021 A nice surprise at my window.

Usually right before bed I put on the outdoor lights and see what they attract for photography.  When I looked around the corner I thought I had an interesting moth on the window screen but when I got a closer look I saw that it was not a moth at all.

Chocolate and Cream Sedge- Platycentropus radiatus, a caddisfly. What a beauty! Hard to believe this one started out as an aquatic nymph carrying around its camo collection of debris.

I’m not familiar with this, but agree–a beauty! As well, I’m impressed with your clean screen. 🙂
