08.23.2021 Monday Morning Gentle Light

Henri gave us a break for most of the morning o there were a few hours for some photography.  I’ve looked at these trees for a number of visits to the sunrise lookout and liked the light on this particular day.

Although the sun had risen it stayed mostly behind the swirling clouds of the storm so not much warmth but the light was soft and pleasing.

Really gorgeous. I like the light spidery branches topping the trunks with the dark stone at the bottom. Those “bookends” are interesting frames to the colors of the limbs. Great capture!

  4. Fascinating color on these trees in this lighting! It makes me think of going out on a Nightstalkers walk with our local naturalist, and the effect of her UV light on the lichen on some of the trees.

I like the way the soft light has brought out the colours and the way the tree trunks are ‘arranged’.
