Wow! Now that is a theme of green! I hope it was a pleasant scene and not like what we have here with an invasion of mosquitoes.

Mountain Laurel grows along this reservoir’s edge and I stopped for that reflection. But in looking around this view made me forget all about the flowers…for a while. Thanks, Lori! It was cool enough still that mosquitoes remained aslumber.

I like your green day far more than ‘that’ Green Day. I could spend some time with this one, but I’d only last a minute with them.

Some of their songs don’t put me off and the few live performances I’ve seen are okay. I wouldn’t spend money to see or hear them. OTOH, I would for this scene which looks far more pleasing than what was behind me.

What would you think of cropping off the top half and showing only the reflection as a panoramic abstract image in its own right?

I’d frame it that way although a crop would stand the reduced information in the file.

A slight breeze must have created enough motion in the water to create the impressionistic mood in your photo, Steve.

Exactly and I think I prefer that to a mirror-like surface…at least in this instance.

Ah, yes, I love these scenes. They seem so quiet, so peaceful, so calming, even though I realize it’s entirely possible it’s facing a busy highway. 🙂

I stop here a few times a year, especially now when the mountain laurel is blooming and there is a nice reflection. But you are absolutely correct. There is a main road behind me although not a busy highway. There is a fair amount of traffic although this was very early and not as many folks were driving by as would be at a later time.

Gorgeous image, Steve. A great spot to just sit and take in the tranquility.

Thanks, Eliza! Green is such a relaxing color. There is a lot of work being done in the space behind me here so only temporarily tranquil. Sometimes pictures are a little misleading. 🙂

Thanks, M.B.! The overcast light and all the moisture in the air really saturated the color nicely.
