Thank you Liz! Sometimes it pays to look down instead of up. 🙂

Thanks, Peter. I did like the way they were lying there.

You reminded me of the song “Autumn Leaves” even though it’s spring now.

Autumn leaves can be the gift that keeps on giving.

I’ll bet some photography company could make a slogan out of that.

This is another one that reminds me of the Dutch painters. “Still Life in Stilled Brook” would be my title. I especially like the dark, almost khaki-colored background. It complements all the other colors perfectly.

I like your title…but this is a seep and no moving water except upwards. Maybe “Still Life in a Seep”? I also like all the earth tones…even the red oak leaf is earthy.

As always, artist Nature creates the most perfect compositions.

It reminds me of a still life, also, I always think maple leaves have the best colors, but this oak’s wonderful russet color is hard to beat.

Well, it is a still life as nothing was moving. 🙂 If there were brilliant maple leaves and oak leaves I am sure the maples would win our attention but oaks do offer a lot as well.

I love it. Assuming this is recent, the idea that fall was preserved under the ice is very cool! Another one I love! 🙂

Thanks. Yes, it was made a few days before this post. This seep is often a good source for the condition you describe.
