Another from this location. I haven’t posted one from here in a while but it is a favorite to visit. Once a part of the M-M Trail (from Metacomet, CT to Monadnock, NH mountains) and now part of the New England Trail (NET), this is just one of the many Hop Brooks found in New England. There is a waterfall upstream that I posted from ten years back that I haven’t revisited since. The trail has been redirected to avoid private property and I need to try that out.

The past week of warm temps have the streams gushing… I love waterfall season!

Me also, Eliza. I am always sad as summer approaches, not entirely of course, and the streams start to lose their volume and some even dry up.

I recently asked whether you’d ever before included four photographs in one post. The 2011 post you linked to had five pictures.

If you click the “previous” arrow at the top of the linked post the day before had a bunch also. I forgot all about the two posts until looking for the waterfall images.

Thanks, Denise! Finding these cascades is always a nice experience and this brook offers quite a few.

I always enjoy seeing through the water to the underlying rocks. The rivulets on the right are cute; they’re a nice complement to the larger flow.

I agree that seeing the rocks below rushing water is a treat and I am glad you enjoy that too. Cute rivulets!
