That would have made for a very pleasant morning.

It did indeed. Much better than sleeping in.

To think that is just a moment captured in the ever-evolving sunrise. You were present at precisely the right time!

It’s always fun to watch these develop. Most often one can predict what will happen but every once in a while it’s even better than expected.

The rocks look massive compared to the sun.

From where I was standing they were.

The lavenders and pinks reflected on the rocks make for a lovely sight. It’s like catching an unexpected smile on a stony-faced person.

The granite here actually does have pink in it so that is well observed. The pink turns a bright brilliant orange as the sun hits it from low n the horizon.

That would be the perfect spot for some early morning yoga, maybe a few salutations to the sun. Amazing sky.

I am not a yoga practitioner but I do salute the sun. ๐

I only do a bit of yoga every now and then as part of my morning exercise routine, but I do like the salutation to the sun – the name, and the movements are good for waking oneself up! I guess you’ve got Bentley for your exercise….;-)

Yes but just around the neighborhood most often. Being a hunting dog I can’t really take him photographing with me although he is a very patient guy when we meet someone to talk with.

Ah I wondered why he didnโt appear in more of your photos…I suppose heโd be off after some of the wildlife ๐

Absolutely. Plus my most frequently visited location, well there are 52 of them, is the Quabbin reservoir watershed gates and park. Dogs are not allowed there. We do occasionally take him for walks n other trails.

Here he is next to my camera bag. Maybe he is trying to tell me something.

He is really quite adorable, and he does look like he’s trying to tell you something! How can you resist?! ๐

He does ask to go for walks but more often he’s asking for snacks.
