I am a Nature Photographer with interests in all things related. Water, flowers, insects and fungi are my main interests but I am happy to photograph wildlife and landscapes and all other of Nature's subjects.
I was hoping that wouldn’t be a distraction. The first time I processed this I went black and white so it wasn’t noticeable.I decided to keep the color for the bit of tint.
Ice always has something new to offer up if you’ve the eye to find it. And you certainly do! I noticed the first ice in a local creek this morning, though only an incredibly thin layer in very small and still areas.
Thanks, Todd. Thin layers have dominated our ice for a while until the last few days when the midday temps stayed below freezing. I’ll be out looking once it gets light this morning.

Nice, and not just because I see my (and your) sinuous initial.

The bubbles have increased with age. As a younger person I seemed destined for curmudgeonry but managed to cheer up with the years.

Once I spotted the bit of green in the upper right, I couldn’t take my eyes off it. It somehow seemed as weighty as the curving bubbles.
