Typical, that is, of our winter so far. I sure do grouse a lot. At least cold is coming back.

About Steve Gingold
I am a Nature Photographer with interests in all things related. Water, flowers, insects and fungi are my main interests but I am happy to photograph wildlife and landscapes and all other of Nature's subjects.
I like your use of ‘typicality’ 😀 –also, you got a nice shot there and I doubt I would’ve picked the potential for that to turn out so well! Lovely!

Thanks, Liz. Occasionally I make up a word only to find out that it is actually a word people use much to my ignorance. All part of the education of life. 🙂

So it seems that the grouse and the cold are both coming back. I didn’t know the birds had been away.

I meant that the cold is back if not the snow. I always grouse about something.

Be careful what you wish for… 😉

Oh, I know what I wish for and what it might bring along with it. I’ll take my chances. 🙂 I really don’t enjoy the cold or dealing with snow removal but do love photographing what winter brings us and without a nice snowpack the streams and lakes will not be full as they might be come June when I am looking for watery subjects.

Your skies look like ours at the moment…but I’m not wishing for cold!

As Eliza suggests, I shouldn’t be looking for cold either but that part of me is a paradox. 🙂

That’s a beautiful tree. I do enjoy solitary trees in winter, when their structure is most visible.

I enjoy photographing trees in all seasons but bare trees offer something special.

But this is acceptable, right? 😉

Ooo, but not a typical photograph. This one is special. I like how you fit the tree right into that space for it.

Thanks, Linda! I had to get down pretty low to raise the tree’s branches above the background. Fortunately ticks are not very active in the winter. 🙂
