Really nice contrast here! I love that hot image, the middle-layer tree draws me in.

Thanks, Todd. In retrospect I should have made one more step to the right so it wasn’t partly hidden. But it does give a kind of peekaboo effect. 🙂

I like that too. Was the hot one taken in early morning as well?

Yes it was, Melissa. You can always safely assume I am shooting a sunrise. 🙂

Sweet contrast, Steve. The warmth of the second looks so enticing right now!

I agree about the summeryness being enticing, Eliza. If the winter is going to continue so disappointing we might as well just warm up. Of course that wouldn’t be good but it’s a slightly cheering wish.

Both very beautiful – and I’m finding the hot one very appealing too. 🙂

That was a very hot and humid July day, Ann. Thanks!

The color of the second is almost identical to some of our Saharan dust sunsets. I’ve never seen the dust and fog combined, of course; if I had to choose between the two, I’d sure take the fog. I really like the fringe of seedheads along the bottom. It’s a nice touch.

I’ve not seen dust sunsets but have witnessed a few smoke sunsets from the fires in the west the last few years which of course resemble the first image here. There was a quite large meadow in front of me and I had to decide how much to include. Stuff sticking up into the frame isn’t always desirable but I liked it here. They are both foggy landscapes but I am guessing you mean the second.
