From a much snowier day than we have had lately.  Still no real snow in our forecast…only snow showers and not until late next week.

  1. So we both put out snowy views this morning. I like the appearance of little snow islands, as if seen from an airplane. In fact I took a few similar pictures here the other day.

I like the snow islands as well. It reminds me of a Japanese garden, all serene.

  4. Just like The World From Above series of postcards that I have. Nice play with perspective. Only the polar bear is missing, none around that day? 😉

While the snow and rocks demand center stage, I like the slight reflections, and the warmth of the open water and underwater rocks. It’s obviously a cold day, but it doesn’t look that cold.

    • I think you are right about it being “that cold”. The snow is freshly fallen and packable so we were not in a deep freeze. When it is really cold the snow is a bit icier and doesn’t pack. I processed it for a stronger contrast to enhance those reflections a bit.

We need a few close-ups here, please–especially of that little archipelago of frosted mushroom and animal cookies at top center.
