    I’m surprised by how substantial it looks. I’m reminded of thick tree roots.

    • Yay, Linda! I had typed in the resemblance to tree roots but then deleted that hoping someone would see them without a cue. The shape of the cascade really does give a look of solidity.

    I see not only tree roots, but the talons of some great bird or dragon. The sense of motion here is so powerful.
