Had I known the email was coming I might have saved this for milestone 1700, but 1701 will have to do.
A few months back I received an enquiry about this image from a collector in Dallas. He wanted a print larger than my Epson P800 can produce so I had my friend at Mark Picard’s Moose Prints Gallery do one up which I sent out to my customer who sent this picture today after having it framed which he coincidentally did just as I would have.
I am impressed that he has a dedicated spotlight for it.
Selling photographs isn’t a daily, weekly, or monthly occurrence so I am seriously chuffed.Β π
How great is that … wonderful!

Congratulations. A print sale is the finest validation of your art. So nice of your client to send a photo of his presentation. Very nice.

Thanks, Bob! I make a few sales to a magazine annually which was my first goal as a photographer but when a consumer buys a print it is extra special.

Thanks, Ann! Although it was 9 years ago, I remember much of the time I spent making exposures which resulted in this. His request made me quite happy.

That’s a great print, Steve! How nice to showcase it like that under a spotlight and send you a photo of how he’s displayed your work. I’m glad your work found a home in Dallas, which is just three hours south of here!

Thanks, Lori! I was happy to receive the shot and even more to see that it was framed just as I do mine. It is nice to have some of me spread around. π

It was I. I showed it to Mary Beth first and she loved it. π We’ve had the same two for years, one for winter and one for summer. It will be a delight to enjoy yours whenever we’re in there.

I haven’t received notice from FAA yet but if you have then I know it’s in the works. π

I hope it comes quickly. An order I made for masks took awhile to come but my neighbors made a similar order and it came very quickly.

I did request it. I only have a few examples of my prints on someone’s wall so trying to add more when I can.

Thanks, Todd. It was a dramatic experience. There were two other photographers with me, just a coincidence, and we all got wet at one time or another with the crashing waves. But we were well above the water so were not in any danger…at least not with the waves as they were. Behind us, in an area known as Boulder Beach, was a photographer at ocean level and every once in a while he disappeared from view. We did see him walk up the beach so were glad he was okay.

That’s a wonderful seascape and I love the dark, moody sky as well. Have you posted this image? I’d really like to see it more clearly. It is so rewarding to have someone honor your art by inviting it into their home.

Top that off with a check and it doesn’t get any better, Gary. I never have shared this here until now. I’ll post it later for a closer look. Thanks.
