The only thing better than fog like this is fog with foghorns. Somehow, foghorns seem to deepen the silence.

No boats down in this part of the reservoir so no fog horns needed. How about loons?

Canadians refer to their $1 coin as a loonie because it has a loon engraved on its reverse. By analogy, the $2 coin came to be called a toonie, even though it bears an image of a polar bear. And who wouldn’t now be thinking of Looney Tunes?

I remembered the song title first, then the name of the singer, Jimmy Clanton. Who knows all the stuff that’s stuck in our heads?
