That’s good because I don’t have much to say at the moment, Pete. This post is therapeutic, I hope. ๐ Thanks!

Beautiful sunrise. I like the way that pink sky reflects on the water.

Thanks, Lori! I was happy to get that glow in the reflection.

I had the same reaction.

I was quite happy that the sky’s glow was reflected in the water. Sure made for a more interesting shot.

That raises the question of whether circumstances let you make in pictures in which the glow in the water became the subject in its own right.

Of course it does. Especially with autumn reflections where the composition contains only the reflection.

That was the idea in the current climate, Susan. Not the strange part although these times do seem that way. Thanks!

Usually the restful part comes after the shoot. I get a little wound up as things develop and don’t relax until the time has passed. Thanks, Eliza!

Here are some words from Annie Dillard, in Pilgrim at Tinker Creek>
โMountains are giant, restful, absorbent. You can heave your spirit into a mountain and the mountain will keep it, folded, and not throw it back as some creeks will. The creeks are the world with all its stimulus and beauty; I live there. But the mountains are home.โ

I own this book but have only read a few pages. I think it’s time to rectify that. Thanks for the hint, Linda. ๐
