Another from the past. This time 2008.
It was a winter wonderland out there today. Unfortunately I was working, riding around making housecalls, and made no images. Still a joy to see. I don’t expect much to linger into tomorrow but at least there should be water to photograph.
I suppose I can give up the Froggy Fridays, and go with some stunning landscapes for a while. You sure get some spectacular autumn colors.

Some New Englanders are known for dropping their r’s. That’s how frog became fog.

I am not one of them with an accent. Of course most New Englanders don’t think of themselves as having one. Maybe I do talk funny.

I am glad that you don’t mind the switch, Lori. I do have some in the files I can turn to but a good fog is always worth a share. 🙂 New England provides some great color and I am lucky we settled here. Thanks.

That was sure a lovely shorescape. Where was that?

It’s one of many spots I visit around the Quabbin Reservoir. This is right in the park but there are 52 “gates”, old roads, and most lead to the shoreline.

In one of your recent photos, it was the burgundy tree that served as a focal point. Here, the ‘white’ tree serves the same purpose. In these ‘walls of color,’ having that point of contrast seems to enliven the entire image.

Yes, in much the same way as having some green does also. A wide swath of color is nice but some variety makes it better.

I’m willing to see 2008 live again.

I think most of us are. 2020 has not been wall to wall giggles.

Foggy Friday makes a change from Froggy Friday – both bring great photos!

Thanks, Ann. Now a foggy frog Friday would be good. I think I did one of those a while back. 🙂

Great image Steve! Maybe there is a frog on the shoreline!

Thanks, Reed. If there was I am sure the heron made quick work of it.

What a beautiful color display. We don’t get fog often here in dry Colorado and I do miss it.

Thanks, Denise. Yes, the fog is a gift and much appreciated by photographers here. You may have fog envy but I have serious Rocky Mountain envy. 🙂

Beautiful work Steve, living on the Ohio River fog is almost a daily occurrence here, well at least it seems that way.

Thanks, Bernie. Daily fog would make me a happy photographer. We do have it often but not always as photogenic as I would like.

Those first snowfalls are so pretty…and this image has the look of film. Very nice.

Although I didn’t get any shots of the snow frosted trees, it was a delight to be out enjoying them. Thanks, Lynn.
