09.18.2020 You know what day it is!

Came across this guy while walking along the Railtrail next to Poor Farm Swamp. We are due for an early, hopefully light, frost this weekend which portends the end of frog season.Β  Still a little time left but it’s in the future.

He looks a bit skeptical about your suggestion that it’s the end of frog season, but how many of our routine conceptions have recently gone amiss?

  2. I seem to see an eye at each end of the curving strip where the reflection borders the actual body.

I share the frog’s wishful skepticism~oh surely not the end of the season so soon!!!! But yes, I know the end is drawing near. It kills me that I don’t see bullfrogs anymore around here. I don’t know why but I suspect the use of pesticides by pretty much EVERYONE. 😦 Perhaps you’ll put this fine fellow up on your site to sell so I have his picture to remember them by??

    • Frogs, along with butterflies, are excellent indicators of our environment’s health. We are in trouble, especially with the “Environmental” President at the helm.

Your request comes at a time when I have been contemplating having a frog page on my site. Stay tuned. πŸ™‚

Is Frosty the Frog for real? If that’s undoctored, it’s 100% the funniest frog I’ve ever seen. Even if it was given some sort of artistic treatment in photoshop, it’s still hilarious. I think I’d remember if you posted it before, but my mind’s not always what it used to be. Both of these have that typically froggy expression of determined resignation — love it.
