Almost every night for the past week or two I’ve photographed a new to me insect. Of course I do see some species repeatedly but it is nice to see something different most nights or mornings.
The is a real good looker that I found on the house’s siding. Enicospilus sp.
This guy looks like he’s just been pulled over for DUI.
Love the big black eyes contrasting with the red body. Ichneumonid wasps pose no threat of stinging to humans although they do oviposit their eggs into the larvae of other insects.
A very elegant creature with a sci-fi look about him!
