I’ve been waiting all week for Frog Friday to return.

Started the week on Monday with bullfrogs.

Thought about bullfrogs all week.

Ended the week on Friday with bullfrogs.

Hope to spend the weekend with bullfrogs.

I’ve loved bullfrogs for as long as I can remember. Your first photo is just great; love the low angle with the reflections of its mesmerizing eyes.

Kermit the frog said, “It ain’t easy being green”, but I think it’s a matter of perspective. Your froggy friends make being green look happy and relaxing!

  5. I really like your ‘Frog Friday’ Steve! These are gorgeous captures, and the colours are so rich and, well, really vibrant.

  6. Great Frog Images Steve! I miss our old home with a pond where I just had to walk out in the yard to go to my pond to see & photograph them! But I guess the neighbors did not care for the noise they made early in the am!

It took me a while to figure out what I like about these photos, and I finally got it. They don’t all have the same expression, but you can see their expressions. I’m so tired of not being able to give and receive smiles, or ‘read’ other peoples’ faces. I’m following the guidelines, but I’m not happy about it.

    • Yes, I think we are all unhappy about not seeing each other for so long. But we possibly are looking into each other’s eyes more, smiling with them, and I hope that continues once the masks come off.
Frogs have such pleasant expressions and seem to be smiling even while looking out for long-legged predators.

I like these a lot Steve. I like seeing the whole body of the frog. The three are excellent and sharp.

Frogs are such fun creatures to observe. When I had my bigger pond, we used to get them in the summer, but the new smaller one doesn’t attract them the same way.

  16. So that’s what they look like. I’ve never seen one – only heard them! πŸ™‚

    • Once you’ve seen one you haven’t seen them all…or at least I haven’t. πŸ™‚ They are a much easier subject than all the ones that hang out in the woods. Once one finds a comfy spot it sits there as long as you don’t get too close. I’ve often found one, photographed it, went elsewhere, and it was in the same spot on my way back.
