I don’t remember ever seeing one of your water/waterfall photos with this golden light. I suppose part of that’s because you’re often in woods, or photographing ice. This is beautiful — the colors seem alive.

I think that I have once or twice shared some image with similar light…but I can’t remember and don’t think I keyworded golden light into any of my waterfall images. Guess I have to remedy that for this image at least. Thanks.

So you didn’t use a filter for this? Just a slow shutter speed a higher ISO?

Just a circular polarizer, Maria, which does cost 1- 1 1/2 stops.There was a nice canopy overhead. Most of the time I am in wooded environments so it has been a very long time since I needed a neutral density filter.
3.2 secs @f/16, ISO 100.

Amazing! I don’t know why I alway think these scenes require wide angle lenses. I guess it just depends how close one is from the scene.

That and the effect you want. With the 16-35 0r the 24-70 the glow would have been further away and much smaller plus there would have been a lot of distracting clutter. I do use my 16-35 a lot with waterfalls and cascades. Just depends on the intent.
