Great perspective, peeking around the stem. 🙂

Thanks, Eliza. I am pretty sure torpor caused him to be totally unaware of the camera. A nice relaxed model. 🙂

But of course. This mister is no mister.

The mist you mentioned reminded me of Themistocles.

I didn’t think it was possible for me to find an insect adorable… but you made it happen here. What a great image this is!

Oh, some are as cute as a bug in a rug, Lori. 🙂 Glad you found this little milkweed chewer adorable. Thanks!

Looks like a merry little devil, kind of a jester look with his antennae. The dew gives almost a crystalline look to everything, like sugar frosting. No, I’m not tempted to munch on this fella.

Nope. I wouldn’t either. They are red for a reason. Beware, I am full of milkweed toxins. A little dew adds so much visual flavor.

I love this! It looks like it’s been dusted with sanding sugar, or maybe dipped in sugar syrup. It’s ready to be a cupcake topper.

I bet there are some folks who would like a colorful insect as a bit of confection atop a cupcake or a whole menagerie of them on their birthday cake…I know I would.
