Maybe this little guy might look familiar. He appeared here on a past Tuesday a couple of years ago.
I think his aloof attitude is what got him some recognition. 🙂

Congratulations–and they left the mosquito bite! It looks like a little goatee–no, make that a toadee!

He looks most distinguished with that ‘toadee’ 🙂 Congrats Steve!

Pretty handsome for a warty toad. Thanks, Liz.

They probably didn’t even notice the lump or where it came from. Or maybe they know about toadees. 🙂

It was quite adequately implied–I didn’t feel like you’d let me take it on the chin.

Absolutely fantastic, Steve! I love seeing when you get published, especially on the cover. And there certainly is a nice bit of attitude in his pose. 🙂

Thanks, Todd. Maybe this will motivate me to submit more often. Don’t know why I don’t. It certainly is rewarding when it happens.

Maybe the bump is, as you suggested, a mosquito bite, or maybe it’s where he missed jumping from log to log in the old Atari “Frogger” game. In either case, a wonderful shot with ATTITUDE.

Yeah, it could be an old “Frogger” war wound. Thanks. It always helps to have a good model.

It’s good you yourself weren’t so aloof that you didn’t deign to contribute this portrait to the magazine.

It certainly isn’t aloofness that keeps me from being published more. If it was “publish or perish” I might be more motivated.
