06.12.2020 Flashback Fog Friday

It should be a foggy start to the day so wouldn’t it be nice to come upon a scene like this again?

Oh, yeah, this is a real classic! My only suggestion would be a very thin, subtle, almost-subliminal frame so that the upper left doesn’t get lost. But that’s only me.

  5. People talk metaphorically about being in a fog, or the fog of war; I expect you prefer the real thing.

My favorite detail? The clarity of the shadowed underwater rocks. There’s always something new to see in a second look.

    • That is one of the nice characteristics of the Quabbin. It is drinking water and very carefully controlled for anything that might pollute or dirty the water. Almost any shoreline location will have this sort of rocky clarity.

I too was struck by the clarity of the water beneath the rocks. Surprising to see such clarity in a foggy scene. I hope you found the scene you were hoping for.

I like the contrast between the clarity of the water letting the rocks be seen and the effects of the fog. Very peaceful feeling and it makes me think of Scotland too… πŸ™‚
