Just a basic portrait.Β There were only two this year of these white variants and I just went for the glamour shot.
There’s another location where I might find some others and will see if there is something a bit more expressive there.

Nice going in getting so much in focus.

Thanks. LiveView and D.O.F. preview helped.

Your friendly neighborhood white flower afficionado approves. It’s lovely. Is that a bit of dew I see, or simply the texture of the plant?

Those are tiny dewdroplets. Getting out early before the sun creates contrasty conditions make the control of white much simpler. Glad you enjoy this, Linda.

Spectacular shot, Steve. I have never seen a white lady slipper before, but love the way it looks, its beauty highlighted by your glamor approach.

Thanks, Mike. It is the same species as the pink but without all that messy pigment. π

And a lovely glamour shot, it is. It’s always nice when dew adds that glistening glow.

Thanks, Mike. I don’t carry a spray bottle so have to rely on Mother Nature to provide the sparkles.

I wasn’t sure whether the detail would be as crisp as it turned out as a slight steady breeze came and never left. Upping The ISO helped as well as noise reduction. π
